OPEN CALL FOR TRAILCAM ART !
Just Right Press is organizing its first group zine!
The theme is illustrated interpretations of elusive & amusing creatures witnessed on trailcams. We would love to feature your artwork!
Contributors will be compensated with 3 zine copies and the choice of $25 or credit towards Just Right Press printing services! *For international contributors, please see more details below.
DEADLINE: Submissions are due October 1st by the end the day.
-
-Submissions due by October 1
-Anyone anywhere in the world can submit!
-As much as I would love to feature every drawing, submitting does NOT guarantee a spot in the zine! This will be a small, 25-36 page max size stapled book.
-5.5” x 8.5” horizontal drawings
-I’m looking for wild, stylized, silly drawings that reference actual trailcam photos. Please link the image or video you reference with your submission so we can credit photographers/original posters as much as possible!
-All artistic mediums welcome. Pencil drawings, paintings, digital, pixel art, cut paper, whatever!
-Will be printed in light lime and black Riso ink. Must be okay with full color drawings getting transformed into this limited palette. High contrast, expressive drawings with texture are ideal!
-I will handle all the color separating to prepare your files for riso printing!
-No AI ever

There’s definitely some other good stuff out there online if you peek around!
Maybe you have your very own cam installed for spying on neighborhood critters? I’d love to see some submissions drawn from your own backyards!
